Mel Daneke, a versatile Performer, Producer, Mixing engineer, and Educator with a B.M. in Vocal Performance and minor in Audio Production from Ithaca College. Today, she's pivotal in two global vocal bands: Musae, where she excels in beatboxing and DJ skills, and Six Appeal, showcasing her vocal prowess worldwide. Mel owns Viridian Productions, a vocal music production studio, where she’s produced over 500 songs, earning her 25+ Contemporary A Cappella Awards and 15 A Cappella Video Awards. She recently trained with 5-Time Grammy Winning Engineer, Chris Lord-Alge, and was honored as a voting member of The Recording Academy in 2022. Her passion for music extends to teaching vocal techniques and pedagogy through in-studio coaching and masterclasses, empowering aspiring musicians. She actively promotes women in music-related STEM fields. Mel's influence reaches podcasts like Head/Voice, Vocal HERspective, and Headroom. She also engages with Austin Samba, a Brazilian drum and dance ensemble, showcasing her versatility. In Austin, TX, Mel enjoys cycling classes, Nintendo, paddleboarding, DIY projects, and collecting vinyl records and disco balls. Her journey reflects her unwavering passion for music and the boundless possibilities of vocal expression.
